There are a variety of required sessions, and the requirement is noted in the session title. Additionally, there are two required sessions for all teachers:

1. The opening session at each site (8:30-10:00 a.m.) *No registration for the opening session.

2. At least one session on "Using the ACPSD Instructional Framework in ..." their content area. These sessions are offered throughout the day. Elementary teachers and teachers who teach more than one content area can select the content area of their choice to attend.

Julie has been teaching for 26 years. She has taught every grade from Kindergarten - 8th grade, spending most of her time in Kindergarten and First grade. She is a graduate of USC-Aiken with a degree in Elementary Education, and holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is Highly Qualified in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Additionally, to her time in the classroom she was a SIT Coordinator and a 504 Coordinator. Currently, Julie is serving as the Reading Coach at Byrd Elementary.
